Book Review: Akata Witch

"Nigerian Harry Potter" is an apt description. The magical system and the world building are really well done. The prose is targeting the young adult audience, and I found it fairly pedestrian. I'm not sure I'll continue the series, but I will definitely try at least one more Okorafor novel to see if her genre fiction for the adult market appeals to me more.
