Twice in my lifetime the innocent French fry has been elevated to national controversy. First freedom fries after 9/11 and now Steak ‘n Shakes’ new nazi fries. What a ludicrous timeline we live in.

Job cuts and cuts to benefits aren't just line items in some spreadsheet. Those numbers represent real damage to people. I know the cruelty is the point for these ghouls, as they inflict as much damage on Americans as possible. When do things start to break?

Kid brought the flu home from daycare. Gonna be a long week.

Three good things: chips and queso, making "Muppet face" at my kid, windy weather (but not like a hurricane or anything).

Nirvana with Post Malone at the SNL50 concert did complicated things to my Gen X heart, but I think I loved it. I wouldn’t be mad to hear more of that.

Not typically looking to Bon Iver for an uplift, but I think this new one is just what we need after this week of miserable bullshit.
